Summary:
Maintain Hansen IGA's hometown proud image by providing excellent customer service while accurately completing transactions on a register and bagging customers groceries correctly.
Responsible for service counter functions such as lottery, cigarettes and movies.
Responsible for stocking and cleaning.
Supervision:
Reports directly to shift manager, assistant manager or store manager.
Qualifications:
18 years of age or olderMust be accurate and detail-orientedAble to lift 20 pounds regularly and 30 pounds occasionallyPositive, friendly and team orientedAble to multitask and work in fast paced environmentStand for the extent of a shiftEssential Job Functions:
Provide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous and greeting customersHelp customers find merchandise and answer customers questionsAccurately total customers merchandise at checkout and, using a cash register, complete transaction by accepting customers form of paymentFollow procedures regarding the sale or alcohol and cigarettesHandle grocery items properly and use correct methods of baggingProvide excellent customer service by being friendly, courteous and greeting customersHelp customers find merchandise and answer customers questionsAccurately total customers merchandise at checkout and, using a cash register, complete transaction by accepting customers form of paymentHandle grocery items properly and use correct methods of baggingHandle customer concerns and complaintsComplete any additional duties as they are assignedUse proper phone etiquette when using the intercomUse proper phone etiquette when answering the phone and using the intercomStock and face shelves when neededClean counter and register area as needed.
